Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Autarkeia, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (typically 18 or older, or the age required where you live).

Description of service

Autarkeia is an online education platform focused on emergency readiness and self-sufficiency. We offer quizzes, articles, marketplace links, library content, news summaries, and community information.

Free tier includes core quizzes, limited library access, and general browsing.

Autarkeia Pro (paid subscription) adds deeper marketplace access, expanded library content, Pro product bundles, and other Pro features shown on the Plans page at the time you subscribe.

Features may change as we improve the platform; we will not remove a core paid feature you rely on without reasonable notice when feasible.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Use a strong, unique password and keep your email secure.

Provide accurate information when you sign up. Notify us promptly at hello@autarkeia.world if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or close accounts that are inactive, fraudulent, or in violation of these Terms.

Subscription billing

Autarkeia Pro is billed in EUR via Stripe, either monthly (€7/month) or annually (€69/year), with auto-renewal until you cancel.

A short trial may apply before the first charge (shown at checkout). Prices include applicable taxes where Stripe calculates them.

By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on each billing cycle. You will receive receipts and can manage payment details in the Stripe customer portal linked from your dashboard.

Cancellation

You may cancel anytime from your dashboard or the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation stops future charges at the end of your current billing period.

Canceling does not refund amounts already paid. You keep Pro access until the period you already paid for ends.

Refunds

New Pro subscribers receive a **14-day money-back guarantee** from the date of first payment. Details, including how to request a refund and what happens after 14 days, are in our Refund Policy. Outside that 14-day guarantee, subscription fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy or where required by applicable consumer law.

Affiliate links

Some marketplace listings and Buy buttons are affiliate links. Autarkeia may earn a commission when you purchase through those links, at no extra cost to you.

We curate partners we believe serve our community, but we do not control third-party stores, prices, shipping, or product quality. Purchases are between you and the retailer.

User conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or our team
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the service without written permission
• Resell, republish, or commercially exploit platform content without authorization
• Attempt to bypass paywalls, security, or rate limits
• Use the service for unlawful purposes

We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Intellectual property

Autarkeia's branding, software, curated content, and design are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the service for your own learning.

Content you submit (for example forum posts) remains yours. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and moderate that content on the platform as needed to operate the service.

Autarkeia provides educational and informational content about emergency readiness and self-sufficiency. Nothing on this site is:

• Medical, health, or mental-health advice
• Legal advice
• Financial or investment advice
• Professional emergency response, rescue, or tactical training

We do not guarantee that any recommendation (including quiz results, news summaries, marketplace products, or community content) is complete, current, or suitable for your location, household, or laws.

You are responsible for verifying information, complying with local laws and regulations, and making your own decisions. In an emergency, contact official authorities and qualified professionals.

Product links (including Amazon and affiliate partners) are provided for convenience; we do not endorse every product or seller.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Autarkeia and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunities arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claims related to the service in the 12 months before the claim is limited to the amount you paid to Autarkeia for Pro subscriptions in those 12 months (or €0 if you only used the free tier).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Spanish or EU law (including certain consumer rights).

Termination

You may stop using Autarkeia at any time and cancel a Pro subscription as described above.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, engage in fraud or abuse, or if required by law. When reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to respond before termination.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page and, for registered users, by email at least 30 days before they take effect when practicable.

Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you disagree, cancel your subscription and stop using the service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you keep mandatory protections under the law of your country of residence where they apply.

Dispute resolution

Courts in Madrid, Spain have jurisdiction for disputes arising from these Terms, subject to mandatory consumer rules that may allow you to bring claims in your country of residence.
